Agent skills
Give your coding agent this library's M3 rules, so the UI it writes in your project uses the right components, tokens and motion.
What it is
A set of agent skills in their own repository, material-skills. An agent loads them when it creates or
reviews UI, and follows the library's rules instead of guessing M3 from general knowledge.
They work in Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and other tools that read SKILL.md files.
Install
From your project's root:
bunx skills add https://gitlab.com/noxlovette/material-skills
Or clone the repository and copy skills/* into .claude/skills/. The skills are versioned
separately from the package; update them by running the install again.
What's in it
material-design holds the color roles, type scale, spacing, shape, elevation and motion
tokens as they're named here, how to choose a variant and color role, the motion rules and an M3
accessibility checklist. Alongside it is one skill per component family, such as material-buttons, material-dialogs and material-navigation. Each maps the M3
guidelines to this library's real components and props, and says what isn't implemented.
